SACCHARUM OFFINARUM?????

"Sugarcane (Saccharum offinarum, Poaceae) is presently the most important source of sugar followed by sugar beet."

Stevia extract does not need to be mix with sugar because it is already 250-300 times sweeter then sugar, so why does SWEETERMIX need to add Saccharum offinarum inside it's mixture??
